Prima Princessa (Updated 11/04/2010)

This 6 year old girl is Princessa.  She was abandoned by her owners who had her since she was 2 months old because of financial reasons.  She immediately went to the shelter where she would not eat; so she ended up at a foster home in NW New Mexico.  She started off a little grumpy with her new foster siblings, but has since opened up to them and likes to play rough with them!

At first she does have a few separation issues but should settle down once she knows that she will not be left again.

Every day she is learning more and more; and now she will wake up early, head outside to do her business (using the dog door) and walks to "work" with her foster dad and her foster siblings.  She even walks without a leash as if she had been doing it for years!

She is very friendly with strangers and is excellent with the grandkids.  She rode out to the canyon and had a blast in the car and on the hike.

Even though she is a senior, she would be a great addition to any household.

If you are interested in adopting Princessa; she would love a family with kids and other pets.  The link to adopt her can be found on the "Boxers in Need" page.  You can compelte an online application and let us know that you would like to know this wonderful girl.
